No Critical Mass on a bank holiday like in March, but it did fall on a bank holiday weekend. That and the fact that we had snow earlier in the day probably affected the numbers a little. The turnout was reasonable though and the weather definitely brightened up. So although it was a little on the cold side, we did see a bit of sun. An added bonus for the first critical mass of year in daylight.
Critical Mass on Good Friday really was something special, especially being able to take a relatively leisurely ride into Manchester to get there. The streets were so much more pleasant than normal, why can’t every Critical Mass be a bank holiday?
Good turnout for Critical Mass this month, and we were fortunate with the weather. There was a bit of rain earlier, but dry after that. Given the storms earlier in the day, we did pretty well.

After a week of some pretty grotty weather, we were blessed with a lovely evening for the Halloween Critical Mass. It’s two years since I last did the Sky Ride. Last year we were away in The Netherlands having an altogether more pleasant bike experience. There were fourteen of us heading there this year, including five kids, so we decided to do our own Critical Mass. Safety in the numbers and all that.
The signs weren’t good for this month’s critical mass, heavy downpours a hour or so before the start. Fortune smiled though and the sun began the shine as we were waiting in St Peter’s Square.
