Manchester Critical Mass – March 2019

March’s Critical Mass saw the return of sunny skies and warm temperatures. Something of a surprise, given what the weather was like a few weeks ago. The turnout was pretty good too, with quite a few people saying it was their first Critical Mass of the year.

We also had the pleasure of two soundsystems, which was a nice treat. So, plenty of tunes as we went round as the sun began to fade.

We started off from St Peter’s Square and headed down to Spiningfields, via Albert Square. From there, we headed briefly into Salford, before returning past the cathedral and into the Northern Quarter.

After a couple of laps of the Northern Quarter, we headed down Portland Street, then back up Whitworth Street. After reaching Piccadilly Station, we continued into Ardwick to finish at the rather fantastic Beer Nouveau.

This was the first time the ride finished here and it made a nice change from the usual places. Beer Nouveau were very friendly and welcoming, with plenty of space for us to park our bikes, so hopefully we’ll be back there again soon.

Another lovely Critical Mass!
